Strong starting pitching gave the Mav offense time to get going in Monday night's win in West Lebanon. Reed Grimes got the start for the Mavs going six and one third innings giving up just one hit and no runs while striking out ten. The Mavs (12-10) got on the board in the top of the second after a Brennan Johnson single to right brought home Jonathan Riley and Sammy Swank who had previously walked in the inning. The Mavs would score for a third time in the inning when Jackson Lancaster reached on a fielder's choice which allowed Aiden Riser to score. Mekyel Almond led the Mavs with three hits while Johnson finished the night with two hits and three RBI. Swank and Riser both finished with two hits as well. The Mavs are scheduled to return home on Tuesday to face the Brownsburg Bulldogs at 6:00 pm.
