Congratulations to AmFam Adsit Agency Student-Athletes of the Week: Kaidynn Peckinpaugh & Blake Morrison! Kaidynn, a junior pitcher on the Maverick Softball team, had a tremendous week in the pitching circle! In just her 3rd year of varsity play, Ms. Peckinpaugh recorded her 300th career strikeout while getting the win in the Championship game of the Abby and Libby Memorial Delphi Tournament this past Saturday! Kaidynn was also red hot from the plate, going 6-8 with 4 HR's and 7 RBI's! Peckingpaugh's dominant performance in the tournament helped earn her All-Tourney honors with fellow Mavs, Aislyn Patel (JR) & Hayle Peterson (SR)! Kaidynn is also an outstanding all-around student in the classroom, where the Junior carries a perfect 4.0 cumulative GPA. Fantastic job on the diamond and in the classroom, Kaidynn! Blake, a Senior on the Maverick Baseball team, helped lead the Mavericks to a pair of wins on Saturday versus Western Boone and Greenfield-Central! In the first game versus WeBo, Mr. Morrison had a double, scored 3 runs, and ended the game with a walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the 7th! In the 2nd game, Blake recorded 4 put-outs to help lead the Mavs to a 5-inning shutout of the Cougars. Coach McIntyre praises Blake's selfless leadership as a big reason for the Mavs' pair of wins, stating, "He brings a professional approach to his work every day, and exemplifies grit and perseverance with how he competes." Blake is also dedicated in the classroom, where the Senior carries a strong 3.14 cumulative GPA. Great work in the classroom and on the diamond, Blake!
