Single runs in the bottom of the first and fifth innings were enough for a 2-0 Carmel victory on Thursday evening. Mav pitching struck out twelve Greyhounds on the night while giving up four hits and issuing only one walk. Sammy Swank lead the way with eight strikeouts in his three innings of work. Jake Winger and Aiden Riser each added two in a combined three innings of relief. The Mavs (6-9) return to action with a split doubleheader on Saturday at the Mav Baseball Complex. Game one will feature Western Boone at 11:30 am while Greenfield Central comes in for a 3:00 pm start in game two.
