Harrison scored two runs in the top of the second inning and that was enough to claim victory over the Mavs Wednesday night at the Mav Baseball Complex. Mav starter Jake Winger went six strong innings surrendering four hits and two runs while striking out four. Aiden Riser pitched a scoreless seventh inning in relief. The Mavs best scoring opportunity came in the bottom of the sixth after a single by Riley Evans and a double by Jonathan Riley put runners at second and third with two outs. Unfortunately, a ground out to third base ended the inning for the Mavs. The Mavs hit the road Friday night when they travel to Wheatland to take on Kankakee Valley.
