The Mavs (1-2) offense exploded for sixteen runs en route to their first victory of the 2025 campaign Saturday afternoon at the Mav Baseball Complex. The runs came early and often for the Mavs as they scored in each inning of the run-rule shortened game. A five run first inning was highlighted back to back triples by Mekyel Almond and Rhett Clarkson as well as the first of three, two out RBI singles by Riley Evans. Jake Winger and Evans each finished with three hits while Clarkson led the way with four RBI. Jonathan Riley scored three runs and had three RBI. Aiden Riser picked up the win on the mound striking out five in four innings. Wyatt Vaughn added a scoreless inning of relief. The Mavs return to action Wednesday when they travel to take on Guerin Catholic.
