The JV Mavs headed south Tuesday evening to take on the Tigers of Fishers High School for opening day of the 2025 season. Things got going early for the Mavs as Brodyn Sharp doubled off the left field wall to score Jonah Fritchley and Jackson Lancaster who both walked earlier in the inning. Fishers responded quickly adding two of their own in the bottom half of the first and unfortunately never looked back with a big 7 run inning in the 2nd. Never willing to cave, the Mavs chipped away. They were able to close the gap to a 10-5 game in the 5th when Brodyn Sharp doubled again, reaching 4 RBI's on the night, when he drove in Deacon Anthrop and Jackson Lancaster who reached base consecutively ahead of Sharp. Multiple Mavs collected hits on the night but the gap was just too large to overcome Fishers and ultimately fell 16-6. Lancaster, Hunter Reagan, Spencer Basney, Charlie Kas, and Jacoby Kas all reached on hits in the affair. Our Mavs return to action Thursday when they travel to Harrison to take on the Raiders in a 5:30 start.
