Congratulations to AmFam Adsit Agency Student-Athletes of the Week: Haylee Greener & Chris Cleveland! Haylee, a sophomore on the Maverick Cheer squad, has been a tremendous leader for the team this season. Ms. Greener's school spirit and enthusiasm for her school were on display this past week when the Maverick co-ed cheer squad placed 2nd at the highly competitive Silver Creek Invite! Haylee is a 3-sport athlete who is also a crucial member of the Gymnastics and Track & Field teams. Coach Lauren Evans says that she "always gives 110% effort even when it isn’t convenient, she’s quick to ask questions when she doesn’t understand something and always has a positive attitude!" Haylee is also a busy student in the classroom where the Sophomore carries an excellent 3.88 cumulative GPA! Great work on the court, the tumbling mats, and in the classroom, Haylee! Chris, a senior on the Maverick Swim & Dive team, has steadily been improving his times in the pool this year. Mr. Cleveland has set new personal bests in all of his events and has placed Top 3 in every meet this year. Christopher most recently helped lead the Mavs to a big road win at Southmont on Tuesday night. Head Coach Amanda Cox praises his effort in practice and his positive Senior leadership with the team as keys to his success this season. Chris is also a 3-sport athlete who excels on the Cross-Country and Track & Field teams at McCtucheon. Christopher is also an elite competitor in the classroom where the senior carries a sterling 4.0 cumulative GPA! That's getting it done in the natatorium and in the classroom, Chris!
