Nine Mav alumni set to open college baseball season

As the college baseball season gets underway in the coming weeks Mav baseball will be well represented. Garrett Maish (’20) and Sage Adams (’24) will team up as part of the Purdue Fort Wayne program. Purdue Fort Wayne plays at the NCAA Division I level and are members of the Horizon League. The Mastodons open the 2025 season on February 14 against #3 LSU. Drew Loy (’21) and Brody Fine (’22) will join forces once again in 2025 as Taylor Trojans. Taylor enters the season ranked #19 in the NAIA. They will look to build upon their 42-16 record in the 2024 season. The Trojans opened their season on January 24 and are currently 2-1 on the year with Fine picking up one of the wins on the mound. Brody Zimmer (’23) enters his sophomore year at Indiana Tech. Indiana Tech competes at the NAIA level as members of the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference. The Warriors open their season on February 15. Noah Lyons (’24) is a freshman pitcher at Bethel University. Bethel is an NAIA school located in Mishawaka, Indiana. The Pilots are members of the Crossroads League and open their season on February 14. Logan Marsell (’24) is set to start his freshman year at Wabash Valley College located in Mount Carmel, Illinois. The historically strong junior college program enters the 2025 season ranked #15 in the NJCAA rankings. The Warriors will get their season started on January 31 in Panama City Beach, Florida. Parker Nangle (’24) is a freshman outfielder at Indiana-Columbus. The third-year program competes at the NAIA level and in the River States Conference. Nangle and his Crimson Pride teammates start the 2025 campaign on February 7. Riley Sands (’24) enters his freshman year at Indiana Wesleyan University. The NAIA program located in Marion, Indiana competes in the Crossroads League. The Wildcats look to build upon their 34-15 record in 2024 when they start their season on February 7.
