Congratulations to AmFam Adsit Agency Student-Athletes of the Week: Aaliyah McLean & Jentry Sargent! Aaliyah, a junior grappler for the Maverick Girls Wrestling team, has been a dominant force on the mat this season. Ms. McLean has already won several tournaments this season and even avenged her only loss of the year when she claimed her 3rd straight Lebanon title back in December. Last week at the Lafayette Jeff Sectional, Aaliyah made history by becoming McCutcheon's first IHSAA Girls Wrestling Sectional Champion! Aaliyah is also a dominant force in the classroom, where the junior carries a lofty 3.7 cumulative GPA! Awesome job on the mat and in the classroom, Ms. McLean! Jentry, a sophomore on the Girls Wrestling team, also has had a great run this season. Ms. Sargent has been battling an injury the last few weeks, which has limited her mat time. However, Jentry was able to battle through it to also claim a Sectional Title in her weight division! Jentry and Aaliyah will both be competing at the IHSAA Regional hosted at Rochester HS this Friday (1.10.25 | 9 AM EST). Jentry is also a hard worker in the classroom where the sophomore carries a respectable 3.0 cumulative GPA! Great work on the mat and in the classroom, Jentry! **This is the first year the IHSAA has held an officially sanctioned tournament.
