Congratulations to AmFam Adsit Agency Student-Athletes of the Week: Eden McRoberts & Brody Baker! Eden, a senior diver for the Mavericks, has been a point-scoring machine for McCutcheon! Ms. McRoberts, who is a recent University of Evansville commit, has placed first in 3 of the 4 meets to start the year. In last evening's dual meet with WeBo, Eden's first-place points made the difference in keeping the Mavericks undefeated on the young season. Coach Annie Lee also lauds Eden for being a tremendous teammate. Ms. McRoberts is "constantly encouraging her teammates, helping them behind the board in between dives, both at practice and at meets." Eden is also a tremendous leader in the classroom, where the senior carries a perfect 4.0 cumulative GPA! Great work on the board, in the air, and the classroom, Eden! Brody, a sophomore guard on the McCutcheon Basketball team, just wrapped up a prolific week in the IU Health Hoops Classic. Mr. Baker's play earned him All-Tourney honors and his steady disposition and overall sportsmanship earned him the prestigious Larry Crabb Award! The highlight from the week of games saw Brody score 31 points in the Mav's epic come-from-behind win over the West Lafayette Red Devils. Mr. Baker's last-second three in that game sent the Mavs to the Championship game and caused a courtstorming at Resler Gymnasium!
