Varsity vs Plainfield (56 - 66) Loss The Lady Mav basketball team opened up its season on the road vs. the Quakers of Plainfield High School. Plainfield opened up the game on a 9-0 run but the Lady Mavs got their offense going with the help of their defense. For every answer and run the Lady Mavs would make, Plainfield had a 3 point answer. Going into halftime the Lady Mavs found themselves only down one with leading the game at different times in that quarter. There were many areas of the game that showed a lot of promise for this season. New faces and familiar faces will make this Lady Mav team tough to beat once all parts of the team are working together. Junior Chloe Finney opens up her Junior season leading the team in scoring with 16 points (4/5 3pt). The Lady Mavs are back in action on Saturday morning at the Lake Central High School Tournament.
