Congratulations to our American Family Adsit Agency Student-Athletes of the Week: Maddie Moore & Landon Vandergoltz! Maddie, a Senior Fullback on the Lady Mavs Soccer team, has had a fantastic defensive season for the Mavs! Maddie helped lead the Lady Mavs to several recent big wins over Lafayette Jeff (3-0), Lebanon (1-0), and Faith Christian (2-1). During this season, the Lady Mavs have recorded 6 defensive shutouts, which has improved their overall record to 7-4-1 on the year. Ms. Moore leads the team with 8 assists for the year and has also scored two goals herself! Maddie is also a very talented student in the classroom where the senior carries a lofty 3.69 cumulative GPA! Way to get it done academically, and on the pitch, Maddie! Landon, a junior WR/RB for the Football team, battled the elements last Friday in Anderson to help lead the Mavs to a big 35-8 road win! With driving rain and 40+ MPH winds, Landon tallied 140 yards on 11 carries and scored two TD's. In total, the rain-soaked Mavs racked up 380 rushing yards on the Indians! Landon is also great at achieving in the classroom where the junior carries a strong 3.56 cumulative GPA! Great work in the classroom and on the gridiron, Landon!
