The Lady Mavs Track & Field team gave it their all in a rain-soaked Sectional meet hosted by the Harrison Raiders. In total, 8 Lady Mavs earned a Regional bid that helped propel McCutcheon to a 3rd place overall team finish in Sectional 10! Here's a breakdown of the action: "Mav of the Meet" - Scarlett Reksel (Jr) was the high point-scorer for the Mavs, earning a Regional bid in all 3 events she competed in! Ms. Reksel placed 2nd in the 200M (26.80), 3rd in the 400M (59.96), and 3rd in the 4x400M (4:15.12) for an impressive total of 20 points. "New PR for Peola" - Speedy Sophomore, Peola Brock, busted out a new personal best in the 300M Hurdles. Ms. Brock ran a flawless race in tough conditions to score 2nd place (47.83) in one of the most difficult events of the meet! Peola was also part of the 4x100M relay that moved on to next week's Regional. "Sprint Relays Showcase Teamwork" - The Lady Mavs' 4x100M and 4x400M relays sped to 3rd place finishes in both of those respective races. Peola Brock (So.), Vanessa Carrico (Jr.), Nevaeh Cole (Sr.), & Brielle Young (Sr.) showcased great speed and precision in their hand-offs to race to a fantastic 51.91 time! The last race of the night featured Sarah Hall (So.), Sarah Luban (Jr.), Lillie Graves (Fr.), and Scarlett Reksel (Jr.) who collectively sprinted to a 4:15.12 mile.
