The Mavs (6-0) scored in six of the seven innings en route to a 12-4 victory at Gordon Leming Field Saturday morning. After scoring single runs in the first and third innings, the Mavs put up their first crooked number in the top of the fourth when after a Sammy Swank double, Broderick Arnold homered to left field making it a 4-1 lead. Seven Mavs collected hits on the day led by three from Aiden Riser. Logan Marsell and Jake Winger each added two. Sage Adams reached base five times as a result of three walks and two HBP while Riley Evans had a hit to go along with two walks. Five Mav pitchers combined to limit the Knights to six hits while only issuing three walks. Seniors Riley Sands, RJ Morrison and Noah Lyons threw a combined 5.2 innings of one run ball while striking out four. The Mavs return to play on Tuesday vs. William Henry Harrison. First pitch is scheduled for 5:30 at the Mav Baseball Complex.
