Congratulations to our American Family Adsit Agency Student-Athletes of the Week: Mallorie Beutel & Jake Winger! Mallorie, a junior Shortstop for the McCutcheon Softball team has started the 2024 season with a hot bat! In the Mav's opening weekend, Ms. Beutel mashed two home runs, one of which was a Grand Slam to lead the Mavs to wins over North Putnam and Clinton Prairie. So far in three games, Mallorie has driven in 9 runs and is hitting .625 (8-11). Along with being a leader on the Softball team, Mallorie was a strong player on the Sectional-winning Lady Mavs Basketball squad! Ms. Beutel is also a champion in the classroom where the junior carries an impressive 3.66 cumulative GPA! Great job in the classroom and on the diamond, Mallorie! Jake, a sophomore IF/Pitcher for the McCutcheon Baseball team, has also been dynamite in the batter's box this Spring. Through the first 5 games, Mr. Winger is hitting .571 (8-14) with four 2B, 1 HR, and 13 RBI's to help lead the Mavs to a perfect 5-0 record! In last night's contest versus Logansport, Jake's bases-loaded 6th inning double drove in all 3 go-ahead runners to lift the Mavs to a 6-4 victory. Along with driving in runs, Jake also picked up the win in relief for the Mavericks! Jake is also an elite student in the classroom room where the sophomore carries a near-perfect 3.96 cumulative GPA! Awesome work in the classroom and on the field, Jake!
