Congratulations to AmFam Insurance - Adsity Agency Student-Athletes of the Week: Aubri Mullendore & Brock Finney! Aubri, a senior guard on the Lady Mavs Basketball team, had her best game of the season in the Mav's last home game versus a tough Western squad. Ms. Mullendore used a big 2nd half push to help lead the Lady Mavs to a 58-45 win over the Panthers. Mullendore led the team in scoring with 15 pts, went 3-5 from behind the arc, and her 5 steals were a big reason the Mavs were able to pull ahead late in the game. Aubri is playing great and her tenacity and toughness will be needed as the Lady Mavs head into Sectionals this week at Kokomo's Memorial Gym! Aubri is also very tenacious in the classroom where the senior carries a strong 3.60 cumulative GPA! Excellent work in the classroom and on the court, Aubri! Brock, a senior grappler on the Boys Wrestling team, earned his 2nd straight IHSAA Sectional title at last Saturday's meet hosted by the Jefferson Bronchos. Mr. Finney has been scoring podium finishes all season, including an NCC title two weeks ago. In Brock's final match this past Saturday, he only needed 32 seconds of the match to score a pin and secure the Mav's 5th title of the day! Brock is also a top student in the classroom where the senior wrestler carries a respectable 3.19 cumulative GPA! Fantastic work in the classroom and on the mat, Brock!
