Last night, the Lady Mavs (18-3, 8-0) traveled to Anderson for a shot at clinching an outright NCC Conference championship, and that is exactly what they did with a score of 78-63. The Lady Mavs came out from the first quarter with a 21-17 lead. This game was back and forth with the Lady Indians not allowing any lead to be a comfortable one for the Lady Mavs. The start of the second quarter, the defensive pressure caused some issues and turnovers for the lady Indians and the Lady Mavs took a 41-25 lead into half time. Being senior night, the Lady Indians showed all kinds of toughness with a huge offensive quarter with hot shooting from the outside. The Indians finished with 25 in the quarter and made the fourth quarter into a battle till the final buzzer. This game had some huge minutes from players coming off the bench and making their presence felt right away; Sophomore Marley Dale and Senior Bri Mullendore played some great offense and defense for the Lady Mavs. On a frustrating outside shooting night for Freshman Lillie Graves, she was able to turn up the offense with a game high 37 points (8-12 FT), all coming from inside the 3pt line. So, for the final time in McCutcheon history the Lady Mavs will leave the NCC as the undisputed and undefeated conference champs. Stats Freshman Lillie Graves 37 points Sophomore Chloe Finney 11 points Sophomore Aubrey Miller 11 points Sophomore Marley Dale 8 points Senior Bri Mulledore 6 points Sophomore Braelyn Williams 3 points Junior Kalea Washington 2 points
