On Friday evening, the Lady Mavs played host to NCC foe and cross-town rival Harrison Raiders and led from start to finish with the score of 56-29. The Lady Mavs were dominant in the full and half court defense, forcing the Raiders into 20 turnovers on the evening. This game was the perfect example of a team win with 3 of the 5 starters finishing in double figures. The Lady Mavs started the game with forcing 2 turnovers that led to an Aubrey Miller layup and and Chloe Finney 3 point make. The Lady Mavs ended the 1st quarter leading 14-4. That recipe of defensive pressure leading to baskets was the same for the rest of the game. This win pushes the Lady Mavs into sole possession of 1st place in NCC play and also a winning streak of 7 games. The Lady Mavs will take some days off for Christmas break and will participate in the Twin Lakes Holiday Tournament. Our first game in that tournament will be on December 27 vs. Chesterton at 3pm. Season record now moves to 10-2 and 5-0 NCC.
