Congratulations to AmFam Insurance - Adsity Agency Student-Athletes of the Week: Chloe Finney & Josh Marlin! Chloe, a sophomore guard on the Lady Mavs Basketball, had a great performance in McCutcheon's big 79-22 win over the Marion Giants! The standout sophomore scored 13 pts and tallied 4 steals to help the Mavs improve to 6-2 on the year. Through the first 8 games, Ms. Finney is averaging 11.5 ppg, 4.0 rpg, and 2 steals/game! Chloe is also outstanding in her studies where the multisport athlete carries a very strong 3.58 cumulative GPA! Excellent work in the classroom and on the court, Chloe! Josh, a junior grappler on the McCutcheon Wrestling team, had a big week going 4-1 in his matches. Josh scored a pin in his 106 lbs match versus Lafayette Jeff to help lead the Mavs to a near-perfect 66-6 dual meet win over the Bronchos. Mr. Marlin followed up that performance on Saturday with a 3rd-place finish in the highly competitive Lake Central Invitational! Josh's performances this season have vaulted him up to 7th in the loaded East Chicago Semi-State Rankings. Josh is also climbing the ranks in the classroom where the junior has earned a respectable 3.18 cumulative GPA! Outstanding job on the mat and in the classroom, Josh!
