The Lady Mavs played one of their best games of the season against an aggressive 4-1 Parke Heritage team last night in Rockville, IN. The final score for the game was 74-51 in favor of the Lady Mavs and moves their season record to 5-2. Much like the jv game, the varsity started the game being faster and more aggressive on the defensive side of the ball, which led to some easy scores. The 1st quarter ended with the Lady Mavs leading 13-8. Switching defenses and some execution on the offensive end pushed the lead going into half time by the score of 34-22 in favor or the Lady Mavs. The coaching staff challenged the team with being their best and executing on offense in the second half and the team responded as best as they had all season. The Lady Mavs will get a much needed break and will be back in action at Marion High School December 2 for a varsity tip at 1:30pm. Stats for the game: Freshman Lillie Graves had 39 points, 7 assists, 8 steals, and 12 deflections. Sophomore Choloe Finney had 17 points. Junior Kalea Washington just missed keeping her double figure rebounding games in tact by one with 9 rebounds. Sophomore Marley Dale and Aubrey Miller each had 5 rebounds. Sophomore Brealyn Williams had 5 assists and 4 rebounds.
