Congratulations to AmFam Insurance - Adsity Agency Student-Athletes of the Week: Alex Requierme & Jawan Green! Alex, a senior on the Lady Mavs Swim & Dive team, had a big weekend at the State Spell Bowl Competition! Ms. Requierme helped lead the Mavericks to an overall Top 15 finish with her near-perfect spelling round. Alex is also an accomplished swimmer who specializes in the 200M Individual Medley. Alex is also a standout student in the classroom where the Senior carries a lofty 3.83 cumulative GPA! Outstanding job in the pool and in the classroom, Alex! Jawan, a Senior on the Unified Flag Football team, recently received MVP honors during the team's awards night! Jawan was a part of 3 Sectional Championship teams and was also a standout on the 2020 State Championship team. Mr. Green's amazing one-handed catch in the endzone in that State Title game still stands as one of the most clutch plays in McCutcheon Unified history! Jawan is also a terrific student in the classroom where the Senior carries a fantastic 3.21 cumulative GPA! Outstanding job on the turf and in the classroom, Jawan!
