Congratulations to Patterson Horth Student-Athletes of the Week: Bella Humphrey & Keegun Rice! Bella, a senior on the Lady Mavs Volleyball team, reached two big career milestones during wins over previously unbeaten Benton Central and the Richmond Red Devils! Versus the Bison, Ms. Humphrey tallied her 1,000th career dig helping lead the Mavs to a 3-1 win. Bella also eclipsed the 1000 career kills mark during the Mavs NCC Championship run on October 7th. Bella is an Auburn University commit and is gearing up to play for the Tigers in the Fall of 2024. Bella is also a standout student in the classroom where the senior carries a lofty 3.76 cumulative GPA! Outstanding career on the court and in the classroom, Bella! Keegun, a sophomore standout for the McCutcheon Football team, had an incredible start in the Mavericks 41-7 victory at the Marion Giants last Friday night. In the first quarter alone, Mr. Rice had 2 INT's, one of which he returned for a TD, recovered a fumble, and scored another TD on a 6 yd run! Keegun has played both sides of the ball and special teams every week in the Mav's current 5 game winning streak. Keegun is also a tremendously talented student in the classroom where the sophomore carries a strong 3.72 cumulative GPA. Fantastic job in the classroom and the gridiron, Keegun! #MavPRIDE
