Wednesday evening, the Mavs had a very solid night at Battle Ground GC by firing a season low 307 and winning the City/County Championship. We have been been playing our best golf of the season these last three weekends. Each invite, we have seen course management improve and shot selection give our guys lower scores. Sophomore Matthew Oakley led us and won the entire invite by shooting 1 under on the back for a 73. He tied with Harrison's Ryan Towles but the tie was broke on a scorecard tiebreaker. Sophomore Chase Biddinger jumped in to earn 5th place individual honors with a 76. Overall the team has been steady and just playing comfortable golf each week. Still fact-checking but this could be the first City/County Championship for the Boys Golf team at McCutcheon. We are hungry and humble in our chance to win a sectional championship on Monday, June 8th at 8am at Battle Ground GC.
