The Mavs closed the 2026 home schedule with an 8-1 victory over Brownsburg on Saturday afternoon at the Mav Baseball Complex. After Brownsburg took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning, the Mavs responded with eight unanswered runs, highlighted by a five-run fifth inning. The offense was led by Jake Winger and Rhett Clarkson, who each collected two hits, while Jonathan Riley drove in two runs. Winger added to the Mavs’ lead with a leadoff home run in the fifth, his seventh of the season. Sammy Swank earned his fifth win of the year, allowing one run over five innings while striking out six and walking three. The Mavs return to action Monday when they travel to Crawfordsville for an 11:00 a.m. matchup against the Athenians.
