Strong pitching, clean defense, and a balanced offense propelled the Mavs to their fourteenth win of the year on Saturday in Logansport. Jake Winger earned the victory, his fourth of the year. The senior right-hander threw six innings, surrendering one run while striking out seven and issuing just one walk. The offense was led by Rhett Clarkson, who recorded three hits and scored two runs. Zayne Newgent added two hits, Sammy Swank drove in a pair of runs, and Deacon Anthrop reached base three times. The Mavs return to action next Monday as the Lutheran Saints visit the Mav Baseball Complex for a 6:00 p.m. first pitch.
