Congratulations to Boiler Heating & Cooling Student-Athletes of the Week: Alleigh Dutton & Owen Smith! Alleigh, a senior DS on the Lady Mavs Volleyball team, helped lead the Mavs to a big 4-win week! Ms Dutton and the Lady Mavs won a pair of 5-set thrillers vs Western Boone, and Harrison, and had enough in the tank to top perennial powerhouses Bishop Dwenger and Providence HS at Saturday's Y-Classic Invitational. The Rutgers commit set the tone defensively by totaling 53 digs on the week and chipped in 6 serve-aces. Alleigh is also a winner in the classroom where the senior carries a perfect 4.0 cumulative GPA! Outstanding work on the court and in the classroom, Alleigh! Owen, a senior quarterback on the Maverick Football team, led the Mavs to their highest point total of the season with their 42-10 road win over the Logansport Berries. Mr. Smith completed 16-23 (70%) for 270 yds and 2 TD's. Owen's total QBR of 119.8 was highlighted by a beautiful 42 touchdown pass to junior Broderick Arnold, his 2nd of the night. Owen is also a leader in the classroom where the senior carries a perfect 4.0 cumulative GPA! Awesome job in the classroom and on the gridiron, Owen! #MavPRIDE
