The Mavs scored in five of six innings en route to a 14–9 victory Tuesday night at the Mav Baseball Complex. They posted their first crooked number in the bottom of the third. Sammy Swank led off with a single up the middle, and after a walk to Jake Winger, Brodyn Sharp added a bunt single to load the bases. A walk to Mekyel Almond forced in the first run, followed by a two-RBI single to right by Rhett Clarkson. A hard-hit ground ball by Jacoby Kas brought home courtesy runner Hunter Reagan to cap the four-run inning. Swank and Sharp each finished with two hits, while Clarkson and Deacon Anthrop drove in three runs apiece. Swank led the effort on the mound, striking out 12 over five innings, and he combined with Clarkson to keep the Mavs from issuing a walk in the contest. The Mavs conclude the series against the Raiders on Wednesday, traveling to Harrison for a 5:30 p.m. first pitch.
