We are once again going to offer our Little Mavs basketball program to 5th & 6th-grade girls this year. We will use Wednesday evenings for our program this year. Little Mavs will run from Wednesday, Oct. 18 – Wednesday, November 29th. This program is strictly an instructional league, designed to teach the fundamentals and rules of basketball. Teams will be made up of 7-9 players and we plan to practice and play games on Wednesday evenings. Teams will practice for 30 minutes and then play all games at McCutcheon after the practice. We will need parent volunteers to help coach teams with our McCutcheon staff available to help, as needed. All forms will need to be returned to McCutcheon High School (4951 US Highway 231 South Lafayette, IN 47909, Coach Jeff Knoy) by Monday, October 2nd. We will start on Wednesday, October 18th from 5:30-6:30 pm. After two weeks of drills and scrimmage, we will then divide teams and assign coaches. The final 5 weeks will consist of 15-20 minute practice and a 45-minute game. The cost to the league will be $50.00. Make checks payable to McCutcheon Lady Mavs Basketball.
