Congratulations to Ashlie Adsit American Family Insurance Student-Athletes of the Week: Jocelyn Roman and Nathan Huang! Jocelyn, a senior runner on the Cross-Country team, was the top performer for the Lady Mavs at last Saturday's Hokem Karem race at Plainfield. Ms. Roman was partnered with sophomore Nami Inoue, and the pair set the pace in the blazing-fast field! Jocelyn is a multi-sport athlete who also runs distance races for the McCutcheon Track & Field team. Ms. Roman is also pretty quick in the classroom where the senior carries a lofty 3.72 cumulative GPA! Outstanding work in the classroom and on the course, Jocelyn! Nathan, a senior on the Boys Tennis team, has had a great start to the 2023 season! Last week Nathan scored two big wins at #1 singles for the Mavs against Benton Central and Lebanon. Mr. Huang is a 3-sport athlete for the Mavs playing tennis, wrestling, and is also a golfer in the Spring. Nathan is also a hard worker in the classroom where the senior carries an impressive 3.77 cumulative GPA! Great work in the classroom and on the court, Nathan!
