The IHSAA has developed a plan to help ensure our student-athletes are physically cleared to again participate in sports starting this July 6th. As previously stated, if a student-athlete had a 2019/2020 IHSAA physical on file from last year, that physical will be honored for the 2020/2021 school year. In order to further confirm that returning athletes are still in a healthy status, the IHSAA is also requiring that student-athletes and parents complete the following Health History Update Questionnaire and Consent & Release Certificate.
Completed forms may be printed and returned to the high school front office. Student-athletes and parents may also email signed/scanned forms to Athletic Director – Ryan Walden, Asst. AD – Pete Osterman, or Athletic Administrative Asst. – Rachel Burns.
The health and safety of our student-athletes is the top priority for McCutcheon Athletics. While some of the new procedures may seem redundant and/or cumbersome, it is a path to finally having education-based athletics back at McCutcheon. We appreciate all of your continued efforts in this re-entry process, and we are open and able to help in any way we can going forward. Please feel free to contact the McCutcheon Athletic Department with any further questions.
