Multiple Teams · 17 Mavs Earn Academic All-NCC Honors

This past winter sports season, McCutcheon was lucky enough to have 17 student-athletes named to the NCC’s All-Academic Team.  To earn this honor, the NCC bylaws state that the student-athlete must be a senior, and must have maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher throughout their high school career.  This list of student-athletes could also be mistaken for an All-Star team, showcasing their all-around successes in the classroom and on the field of play!

McCutcheon’s Athletic Department views after school practices as the last classroom of the day.  We wholeheartedly view our athletic programs as co-curricular, not extra-curricular.  Our transformational coaches work to develop strong student leaders who are prepared to compete with integrity, work hard for a common goal, and respect the process of continual improvement.  These student-athletes, and their families, are a shining example of what a commitment to the culture of education-based athletics can achieve.  While we are saddened that this senior class will be moving on soon, we are excited to continue to support them on the next steps of their journey.
