Multiple Teams · Wrestling Gets Season Underway; Go 4-1 @Elwood Duals

Elwood Duals Medalist: Mason Toth, Spencer Phillips, Jake Stall
The Varsity Wrestling team went 4-1 defeating Elwood, Union County, Lapel,
and Alexandria in the 3rd place match. Champions on the day, going 5-0, were:
Jake Stall, Spencer Phillips, and Mason Toth. Overall, the coaching staff thought
it was a great learning experience and were proud of the team's performance.
Another area where the Varsity team exceled was how they started stacking chairs
and cleaning up the gym floor without any coaches asking. This is an amazing
endorsement to our wrestlers and their families for raising great young men who
know the world is a better place when people extend a helping hand to others.
The Coaches and Administrators couldn’t be more proud to lead a team where this
is the standard set in the first weekend of matches! The Varsity grapplers next
take to the mat Friday for a full slate of wrestling at the Harrison
Invititational.

The 9/10th graders went to Yorktown High School on Saturday, and got a first task
of action over the weekend as well. The team was led by Gavin Frantz (2nd),
Jesse Howard (3rd), & Mike Henry (2nd). The JV will be in action twice this week.
Tuesday (6 PM) will be at Jeff against the Bronchos and the
Chargers of North Montgomery and Friday will be at Harrison (9 AM).
