McCutcheon golf wraps up regular season
The McCutcheon Boys Golf team heads into sectional play after competing in a pair of invitationals and winning a match against Twin Lakes.
The Mavs placed third in the city-county tournament at Coyote Crossing Wednesday. The team placed behind Harrison and Central Catholic.
The Mavs picked up a win Tuesday against Twin Lakes 331 to 342 at the Tippecanoe Country Club in Monticello. The Mavs shot 331 to 342, with Senior Noah Gaeta leading the team with an 80 to be the co-medalist for the match.
The Mavs placed second and third in the McCutcheon Invitational on Saturday, May 26 at the Ravine's golf course. Harrison shot a 318 to place first. McCutcheon's team B came in second with 333 and team A with 337. Freshman Jeffery Cook earned a third place medal by shooting a 78, six over par for 18 holes.
Sectional play begins June 3 at Coyote Crossing.
