Congratulations to our American Family Adsit Agency Student-Athletes of the Week: Kaidynn Peckinpaugh & Sammy Swank! Kaidynn, a sophomore Pitcher for the McCutcheon Softball team had a huge week leading the Mavs to 3 big wins! Versus Benton Central, Kaidynn got it done at the plate going 4/4 with 2 HR's and 5 RBI's in the Mavs 17-6 victory over the Bison. Later in the week, Ms. Peckinpaugh flexed her clutch gene by hitting the go-ahead solo HR in extra innings to knock off Western Boone 4-3! Kaidynn also pitched a complete game shutout versus Decatur Central last Saturday only giving up 2 hits and tallying 8 K's in the Mav's 5-0 win over the Hawks. Ms. Peckinpaugh is also an all-star in the classroom where the sophomore carries a perfect 4.0 GPA. Great job in the classroom and on the diamond, Kaidynn! Sammy, a sophomore Pitcher for the McCutcheon Baseball team, earned a huge conference road win last week over the Harrison Raiders. Mr. Swank gassed it for 6.1 scoreless innings, scattering 4 hits and tallying 11 K's & 1 BB! The big road win matched with an 8-7 win the next day over Zionsville helped propel the Mavs to a #2 ranking in Class 4A. The Mavs are currently 12-0 and 6-0 in conference play - a blazingly hot start by any measure! Sammy is also a fantastic student in the classroom where the sophomore carries a lofty 3.75 cumulative GPA! Awesome work on your studies, and on the mound, Sammy!
