Saturday we saw the JV Mavs host the Delphi Oracles at the Mav Baseball complex. Game 1 ended in a 9-1 victory for the Mavs behind stellar pitching from Cade Burkhalter and Cason Trader. Burkhalter went 6 innings allowing one hit and one run while striking out 5 and allowing no walks. Trader closed the game with 1IP fanning 1 and allowing no runs. Game 2 was a 5 inning contest where the Mavs fell on the wrong side of the scoreboard losing 6-9. Bryce Wickstrom, Jackson Lancaster, Rhett Clarkson, and Brodyn Sharp all drove in runs for the Mav who didn't have enough to win the game. Kokomo will visit the Mavs Tuesday at 5:30 for their next action.
